STATEMENT FROM OUR FOUNDER

Art Is The Cure is, admittedly, a happy accident; an unavoidable culmination of a plethora of circumstances. The best things in life are usually put down to chance or coincidence and for those who aren’t good with big numbers it can be called fate. I prefer to think of what’s happened as a beautiful fluke. An organic manifestation of passion, pain, strength and creativity has materialized into a physical form in the shape of a movement. A force that consists of four words, each more powerful than the last, Art Is The Cure. Such short words, when rolled from the tongue, carry life changing power that has the ability to shape the world and bring with it a new generation of combined creativity, strength and inspiration.

When I set out to save myself, I didn’t think I would end up trying to save the world. I didn’t realise my own art based antidote would become a cure for thousands. The lines have become so blurred between goals that they are now dependant on each other. In order for me to save myself, I have to change the world. My cure has become the desire to give others a taste of my elixir through art. Art has been the catalyst for a passion that has taken over every fibre of my being and transformed my life. Every action and movement my body makes, everything my eyes cast their gaze upon and every beat my heart makes has a purpose and takes me closer to my dream of changing the world through art.

This journey was never meant to lead to this point but I do not regret a single step. The path led to where I am now for a reason and in doing so I have been able to shape the journeys of people all over the world. An invisible passage with infinite cross sections and junctions has been intertwined with similar roads the world over and all have been stained with the tell tale trace of inspiration, creativity and paint. My story has been touched and shaped by the words, stories and interactions of countless people all over the world now who share a common cure with me. A bond exists with individuals I will never meet, a brotherhood of artists who will share inspiration and nothing more.
